PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA

After four consecutive days of patient waiting and unreserved support for Mam Sonando, the 71 year-old journalist and owner of Beehive Radio Station, demonstrators still did not get a resolution to the case.

Everyday, police and supporters would gather at the same time, at the same spot, almost knowing what the day will hold: a long wait. Businesses around the area suffered the consequences of the trial too, having had the full road closed for days; customers were unable to reach their stores.

Despite the pressure from the demonstrators and the cost of this trial, after four days, the court did not shed any light on the case. Instead, the verdict was postponed until this coming Monday, October 1st.

Demonstrators and supporters around the country wait patiently for this day.
