I am a multimedia journalist, photographer and documentary filmmaker. My work investigates and documents conflict, human rights violations, migration and other socio-political issues, while exploring the complexities of representation across cultures.
Through images and words, I tell intimate stories exposing underreported issues, like the plight of victims of kidnapping and sexual violence, whose voices were dimmed amid Colombia’s latest peace process; and the adverse impacts of western-centric models of transitional justice systems on the lives of survivors during and after conflicts.
I have also documented Cambodia’s post-conflict rapid development, land grabbing and the depletion of natural resources, as well as conservation efforts and the human-wildlife conflict in East Africa.
My work has appeared in outlets such as Foreign Policy, Al Jazeera, The New Humanitarian and CNN International. I have also worked with humanitarian and development organizations including WHO, Save the Children, CARE, The Obama Foundation and Wildlife Conservation Society.
